Technical description
Powerhouse: The machine hall houses two sets of machinery installed in 2014/2015. They consist of a Kaplan bulb turbine with an impeller diameter of 3.7 metres and a generator.
During an increase in the efficiency of the power plant between 2013 and 2015, not only the machine sets but also the entire control technology of the power plant, the auxiliary power supply, the electrical protection, the battery systems, the generator diversion and the ventilation system were renewed. In addition, fire protection measures were implemented and other upgrades carried out.
Weir: The weir gates are designed as segment gates with attached flaps.
Mühlkanal small power plant: The Mühlkanal branches off at the right-hand weir pier of the Weinzödl power plant, the gradient stage of which is used by a small power plant. The third set of machinery from 1982 is installed here. It consists of a simply regulated Straflo turbine with a nominal output of 200 kW and an asynchronous generator.
