VERBUND is already making a major contribution to achieving the Austrian and European climate and energy targets. Thanks to the large share of renewable energy, we are pioneers of the transition to clean energy. We also enhance system stability, reduce our dependence on fossil energy and safeguard a sustainable energy supply.
Over the next few years, we will invest more than €6.8 billion in hydro, wind and solar power, as well as in green hydrogen, and in expansion of the necessary high-capacity grids. VERBUND also invests in renaturation projects and fish passability with numerous project partners.
