an energy transition project
The Riedl energy storage plant is a key component for climate change mitigation and for achieving a sustainable energy future. The energy store will provide an important means for storing solar power generated in the region, making it indispensable for a successful transition to clean energy and for ensuring a reliable supply of green electricity. Construction of the 300-megawatt capacity storage facility in Bavaria will increase pumped storage capacity by more than 50% and electricity storage capacity by more than 70%.
