Built between 1969 and 1972, the Schönau plant is located downstream on the River Enns near the municipality of Kleinreifling in Upper Austria. Two machine sets generate around 122.8 million kWh per year. A decade after commissioning, the power plant was deepened in 1982, significantly improving its performance.
