Technical description
Turbines and generators: Two Kaplan spiral turbines are housed in the powerhouse. Machine 2 has an impeller with a diameter of 3.5 metres and has a nominal output of 17,700 kWh at an expansion flow rate of 86 m³/sec. The directly coupled three-phase synchronous generator has a nominal output of 22,000 kVA. Machine 3 is equipped with a 1.4-metre impeller and has a nominal output of 2,950 kWh at a flow rate of 14 m³/sec., which subsequently flows through the 3,500 kVA generator. Unlike most other power plants on the Mur, the Fisching power plant has only a control room instead of a control station. Because of this, it is only possible to control and monitor the Fisching power plant; interventions in other plants on the Mur are not possible from here.
Transformers: A 25,000 kVA three-phase machine transformer connects the 10.5 kV and the 110 kV levels. The plant additionally has a transformer to cover its own requirements.
